#62930, Roger Ferrell 22 Hornet Custom Sporting Single Shot on a Low Wall Falling Block Action, 26" half round/half octagon barrel ( Custom Octagon Barrels is one of Ferrell's specialties), A neat short 1/4 rib to accommodate Talley quick detachable lever rings, 6 x 42 Leupold, A folding globe front sight with the choice of a small blade sight or a very small target type post, A tang mounted long range vernier sight with windage & elevation adjustments; A fresh case color hardened action, breech block, hammer, opening lever and buttplate, Very nice wood with feather crotch and nice contrast, Shadowline cheekpiece, Point pattern checkering, Pistol grip stock in the Winchester style with a ebony inlay in the Winchester style, Schnabel forend with a ebony inlay in the Winchester style, 13 3/4" LOP over a steel crescent buttplate, 6 lbs. 15 oz. with the open sights and 7 lbs. 15 oz. with the scope, The overall condition remains at 99% with a bore that is new.

There are no apologies with this Roger Ferrell piece. He can do it all on metal, wood and his custom octagon barrels. The overall fit, finish, handling and proper dimensions are well beyond nearly all competition in custom rifles. In my 54 years of handling some of the best Classic single shot rifles made in the U. S., England & Europe, this Fayetteville, Georgia gentleman doesn't need to take a back seat to any of them. Look at the photos; you will see what I am talking about. I can assure you the metal work is absolutely top drawer. The wood inletting is proper, clean, sharp and absolutely functional. This neat single shot meets the eye very well from a maker that certainly knows right from wrong.
