The bore is as new. The 330 Dakota is a proprietary Dakota Arms cartridge based on a shortened 404 Jeffrey cartridge. It is a fairly flat shooting .338 with the energy of a 375 H&H. With 250 grain bullets it will deliver 2800 to 2900 fps muzzle velocity. It will produce about 4600-foot pounds of muzzle energy. It will produce about 10% more energy than a 338 Winchester Magnum and does it without a belted case. This cartridge has more than proven excellent results in Africa and across North America.
