D'Armes De Guerre Herstal-Belgique; Belgium: A FN Mauser Lightweight Deluxe Made in the late 1950's with a Claw Extractor made prior to the Browning Bolt Rifles from Belgium that came out by Browning in 1960, This piece is a 243 Winchester with a 22" Chrome Vanadium Steel barrel with a front ramp, The barrel is factory drilled and tapped for a rear sight, Sliding right side tang safety that is ideal for scope use, 2 piece scope bases with 1" rings, Leupold FX II 6 x 36mm with a duplex reticle, All steel bottom metal with a hinged floorplate with a frontal release on the trigger guard bow, Full round bolt knob and not that flat underside on later FN's from Browning, Cross bolt at the front recoil lug, Cheekpiece with a monte carlo comb, Wrap around checkering with a border, Sling eyes, 13 7/8" LOP over the horn FN logo buttplate, 8 lbs. with this Leupold, This gun retains 97% factory blue, The stock is about 85% with typical handling marks, The checkering is at 99%, The bore is excellent plus. This piece will produce 1" groups with factory ammo at 100 yards. Here is an unusual FN Deluxe Sporter in a Lightweight Model in a fairly hard cartridge to find on these fine Belgium sporters.
