#88494, Belgium Browning Superposed Grade I 12 Bore Magnum 3" Made in 1961 with their Round Knob Long Tang stock with 30" Vent Rib Barrels at .724 .019 & .035" (Mod. & Full), Original Factory choke marked at Mod. & Full, Factory 3" chambers, Single selective trigger, Game forend, The round knob pistol grip stock at 14 1/4 x 1 9/16 x 2 5/8" over the original Browning pad with their logo, 8 lbs. 2 oz., The gun is used and hunted with but it remains original, The barrel blue remains at 92%, The receiver blue is at 80%, The trigger guard and long tang retains 90% blue, The wood has original finish and remains at 80%, The checkering at 90%, There is surface pitting for a couple of inches ahead of the chambers and slightly at the front of the chambers. This is surface only and without much depth and remains totally safe in every respect, it is there but no need to be concerned. The balance of the bores is excellent. The piece is smack on the face with excellent bite remaining and a toplever that lays well right of center. Browning introduced the 3" Magnum 12 bore in 1955 and when this piece was made in 1961 it retailed for $300.
